Terms of Sale


Electric scooters are not to be used on roads, cycle lanes or footpaths in the United Kingdom. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to drive your electric scooter within all UK laws, both national and local. The purchaser must undertake all risk and liability accompanying the use of scooter products and holds Moov Electric Ltd and its owners free from any liability caused by their use. 

Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think that there is a mistake in these terms or that they require any changes, please contact us to discuss.

A quick note on e-scooter boxes 

Please don't be alarmed if it looks like your box has been opened and resealed. This is for several reasons. Firstly, we sell predominantly European scooter brands, so often the scooters come with an EU plug. We have to open the boxes to add a UK plug. We don't remove the EU plug so you are given suitable plugs for both the UK and EU. This means if you're travelling to Europe in the summer and are planning to take your e-scooter with you, you'll have a suitable charger. 

Our products have usually been shipped from Asia or Europe. Before they are delivered to you, they sometimes have to be checked by UK customs and our own quality control team. This means that the box will have been opened so please keep this in mind.

Finally, similarly to car batteries, if e-scooters sit unused and uncharged for too long, this can damage the long term battery health. If an e-scooter has been in our possession for several months, we have to open the box to charge the scooter. This ensures you are getting a scooter that's in perfect condition that will last you for many years to come! 

The boxes sometimes have a little bit of wear and tear, but that doesn't damage the goods inside which are very well protected with additional packaging inside the box. Some of our products have a box within the outer box for additional protection. 

  1. Overview 

1a. Our online retail sales department is aimed at supplying excellent service and products. If you are not sure about the product you need, we suggest you research it first before you make a purchase. If you are not sure about a product, we advise you not to buy it until you are confident about your choice. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours and products accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device’s display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product may vary slightly from those images.

We only work with quality manufacturers who quality check their products. In doing so, your scooter will likely have been checked before it was boxed. This can lead to very minor marks on the scooter that the team have left while checking every part of the scooter. 

  1. Delivery

2a. All quoted prices include VAT. Where a price includes delivery, this is to mainland UK only. We do not deliver our goods outside the UK. The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.

2b. Your goods will be charged to you at the time of placing your order. Although we take your payment at the time of sale, your order will not be processed until the day of dispatch. Orders placed after our 1pm order cut-off time will be dispatched the following working day.

2c. We will assign an order number to your order and tell you what it is when we accept your order. It will help us if you can tell us the order number whenever you contact us about your order.

2d. If for any reason, it is not possible for us to fulfil your order to be dispatched on the next scheduled shipping date, either due to stock availability or any other reason, we will contact you as soon as possible to present you with the option to either wait for the goods to become available for fulfilment within an agreed time, or offer to cancel your order and process a full refund on the same day. Please note that depending on payment method or bank/building society, there may be a delay with funds appearing back in your account.

2e. We aim to dispatch goods on the same day, if ordered before our 1pm cut-off time, Monday to Friday. Weekends and Bank Holidays not included. Saturday and Sunday deliveries are available at an additional cost to normal delivery, with a cut-off time of 1pm on Friday. These services are based on a best endeavour basis and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for any costs incurred due to a failed delivery.

2f. For security reasons, we may on occasions contact you for identity clarification.

2g. Please note that our couriers will try to deliver as arranged but we will not be held responsible for any costs incurred because of none delivery or factors caused by others. This service is based upon best endeavour and is not guaranteed. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside of our control, then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.

3a. Price Promise. We do not operate a guaranteed price promise but simply aim to offer superb deals always - backed by our high level of service. If you do see a better offer, please let us know and we'll take a look.

       4. Security

4a. To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third-party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks, personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency, which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

     5. Guarantees/Warranties

5a. Warrantees can only be fulfilled to goods purchased and delivered within the UK. Alternatively, you can make the goods available for collection at a UK address. This also applies to goods delivered to shipping companies. Subsequent to a Guarantee/Warranty claim, goods can only be re-delivered to UK address. The goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the products to the address you gave us or directly to you. Ensure you follow all of the guidelines and instructions included with your product, to keep your item in good, working condition and to be ensure the eligibility of the warranty.

5b. Fault and problems with products- if you have a problem with a product, email us at service@moovelectric.co.uk. We have a legal duty to supply you with products that are of satisfactory quality and conform with all UK regulations and guidelines.

 7. International Shipping 

We can ship some products to most countries in the EU. Please note that due to Brexit, Orders being shipped to Europe may be subject to customs duties. The customer is responsible for all import fees and customs charges.

Please note that if the order being delivered is not accepted for any reason or the customer refuses to clear the custom fees before receiving the order, the customs officer may destroy the item or would need to ship it back to us, in this case, all the expenses that would occur including shipping & taxes, the customer is solely responsible for handling all the fees that will incur.
